Now if I only had the energy to actually finish it some day.. :D

  1. I actually like seeing this half-way finished version. It's neat to see what you start out with given I've seen your finished products. Like that left hand.. not so detailed. ;) It's interesting for me as I suck at drawing. ^^

  2. I've been following your blog a bit, and I love your doodles! You certainly have a talent there, wow. This chiss picture is so pretty (not that I'm particularly into pinups, hehe). I love drawing myself too, but have only done so with real pencil and paper so far. It's always such a shame that it looks crap (or at least, a lot less nice than in reality) if you scan those. I'd love to give digital drawing a try and buy a tablet, but I don't know much about it (my friends in real life don't draw themselves). Any tips you could share?

Anyway, keep up the fun blog and nice doodles. :)

  3. Thank you Lothi, nice to hear work in progress images are also interesting :). I suck at drawing hands so it'll get me a while to get it right..

Ravanel, happy you like the doodles too! It's nice to hear people are interested in them too, and not just game screenshots and ramblings.

If you're interested in digital drawing I'd recommend getting a basic Wacom tablet (I think Bamboo is the name of the smallest ones they have), you should be able to get one for around 70€ or so. There are cheapo brands too (Trust and Aiptek come to mind) but they're a bit clunky and not very reliable. I'm also using a tablet at work for web editing so it's not just for drawing - and it's less stress on my hands when I don't have to use a mouse all the time :)

    1. I forgot to answer you, but thanks a lot for those tips! That's the sort of thing you don't get to know so easily when standing in a shop. A last question: do you know if I can use a tablet with my Mac? Or do you need Windows for it? Thanks again, and hopefully I'll get to it when I got a bit more money.

    2. Yes I think most if not all tablets these days work on both Mac and PC. At least all Wacoms do (we had huuuuuuge Wacom tablets at school, it was so cool to use those with the equally huge iMacs).
